Every four years, anyone who holds a Wisconsin plumbing license is required to complete continuing education prior to March 31st. We offer online continuing education courses that have been approved by the state and can be taken online at any time. The type of license determines how many hours are required. Master and Journeymen Plumbers must complete 24 hours, Restricted must complete 12 hours, and Utility Contractors must complete 6 hours of continuing education.

24 Hour Online Continuing Education Course
In the state of Wisconsin, the license expires every four years on March 31st. To renew, you are required to complete 24 hours of education and submit your renewal to the State.

Renew Your License
The next step is to renew your license. The easiest way to do this is on the DSPS website.The state will mail a notice of renewal at least 30 days before the license expires.
Journeyman and Master Plumbers - 24 hours
- Journeyman and Master Licenses are valid for 4 years
- Expires March 31st
Journeyman and Master Restricted Plumbers - 12 hours
- Restricted Journeyman and Master Licenses are valid for 4 years
- Expires March 31st
Utility Contractor License - 6 hours
- Utility Contractor license is valid for 4 years
- Expires March 31st
